Baltimore cruise port transfers
Chauffeured transfers to and from the Cruise Maryland Terminal at South Locust Point, with a fixed price agreed before you travel.
Why people book a car for a cruise
A cruise is the one trip where almost everybody travels heavy. Two weeks of luggage for a family does not fit comfortably into whatever car happens to be nearby, and the terminal sits in an industrial corner of South Locust Point that is easy to circle and hard to park at. The journey itself is short — the difficulty is the bags, the boarding window and the morning you come home.
Where we collect and set down
The Cruise Maryland Terminal at South Locust Point — 2001 East McComas Street, Baltimore, MD 21230. We set down at the terminal kerbside, where porters take checked luggage directly from the car.
Journey times to the terminal
Typical driving time, and what the same journey becomes at the wrong hour. We plan around the second figure.
| From | Typical | Rush hour |
|---|---|---|
| BWI Marshall airport | 20 minutes | 30 minutes |
| Downtown Baltimore and the Inner Harbor | 10 minutes | 20 minutes |
| Towson | 25 minutes | 40 minutes |
| Columbia | 30 minutes | 45 minutes |
| Annapolis | 40 minutes | 60 minutes |
| Bethesda and the I-270 corridor | 60 minutes | 90–105 minutes |
| Reagan National airport | 70 minutes | 100 minutes or more |
Times are for guidance and assume normal conditions. The Fort McHenry Tunnel is the one stretch that can turn a short drive into a long one, and your chauffeur builds in the margin for it — you are not asked to gamble on it.
Four things worth knowing before sailing day
Your boarding window is assigned, not chosen
Cruise lines stagger arrivals to keep the terminal moving, and your window is printed on your boarding documents. Turning up early does not get you aboard sooner — it gets you a queue with your luggage. Tell us the window and we will time the pickup to it.
Coming home is the harder half
Everybody disembarks inside the same couple of hours on the same morning, and the taxi rank empties quickly. A car booked in advance is waiting when you clear the terminal, which is the part most people wish they had arranged on the way out.
Parking runs for the whole sailing
The terminal car park charges by the day, for every day your car sits there — currently around $25. On a week at sea that is a meaningful sum on top of the fuel, and for two people it often lands close to the cost of being driven both ways.
Bags go straight to the porters
We set down at the terminal kerbside, where porters take checked luggage directly. You walk in with hand baggage, not a trolley.
Cruise transfer questions
Which cruise lines sail from Baltimore?
Carnival Pride sails from South Locust Point year-round, with dates announced through April 2027. Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas also sails from Baltimore into late 2026, after which it moves to Fort Lauderdale. Whichever ship you are on, the terminal is the same.
How early should the car collect us?
We work backwards from the boarding window on your documents rather than from the sailing time, and we add margin for the Fort McHenry Tunnel, which is the one piece of the route that can turn a short drive into a long one. Tell us the window and we will propose a pickup time.
Can you collect us from the ship when we get back?
Yes, and it is worth arranging at the same time as the outbound trip. Give us the ship and the date; we watch the arrival and time the pickup to when you actually clear the terminal, not to the scheduled docking.
Will our luggage fit?
Tell us how many people and how many cases when you enquire and we will put the right vehicle on it. Cruise luggage is the most common reason a booking needs an SUV rather than a sedan, and it is far better settled beforehand than on the kerb.
Do you cover flights into BWI on the same day as a sailing?
We do, and it is a common booking — but it is worth saying plainly that flying in on sailing day leaves no margin for a delay. If your flight slips, the ship does not wait. We track the flight either way.
